Council Planning Application
We have now compiled and submitted an independent public consultation and evidence review report to the King Alfred planning portal.
The report examines the consultation process, policy alignment, evidence gaps, and key contradictions between the current proposal and the Council’s own supporting documents, including:
City Plan Part One
Urban Design Framework (SPD17)
Sports Facilities Investment Plan (SFIP)
Stakeholder Engagement Report
Health Impact Assessment
Cabinet reports and supporting material
It also reviews:
the scale of public objections (524 objections to 43 supporting comments)
reduction in family and leisure water provision
policy inconsistencies
unresolved evidence gaps
consultation methodology and representativeness
demolition vs retrofit considerations
financial transparency and long-term risk
cumulative impact of the wider housing scheme
The report has been formally included within the planning application documentation and is intended to support transparent and evidence-based public scrutiny.
